A bit of Emilia...Originally trained as an actor and violinist, Emilia works across movement, theatre and music, collaborating with artists and projects from a wide range of disciplines and cultural backgrounds.
Her practice is rooted in rhythm, embodied listening and ensemble connection. As a movement director and intimacy coordinator, she approaches the rehearsal room as a space for curiosity, clear communication and shared discovery, creating physical languages that emerge from the particular needs of each story and creative team.
❋ Intimacy coordinator“My work in intimacy coordination grew from a desire to make physically and emotionally demanding material clear, repeatable and sustainable. It has developed through consent-based training and practice across theatre, musical theatre and opera.”
❋ Movement Teacher“I began teaching movement in Chile and later deepened my pedagogical practice through my MFA. My sessions combine guided exercises, open exploration and space to reflect, allowing learning to feel both focused and fluid.”
❋ Movement Director“Movement direction emerged naturally from my background as an actor and musician. I work with rhythm, composition and physical detail to help each production discover a movement language that belongs to its particular world.”
❋ Violinist“The violin was my first artistic training and continues to shape how I understand timing, phrasing and ensemble relationships. It remains part of my performance practice and my ongoing research into movement and musicality.”
